In July 2021, German bus operator UVG introduced its first fuel cell bus powered by Unilia fuel cell stacks. Operating between the town of Schwedt and the Lower Oder Valley National Park in Brandenburg, the bus delivers quiet, zero-emission performance while supporting sustainable regional tourism.
Developed under the EU’s Clean Vehicle Directive, the project has been praised by residents and officials alike for its smooth, reliable operation and range exceeding 300 km, demonstrating how clean technology can advance both community transport and environmental stewardship.

Since 2020, fifteen fuel cell buses powered by Unilia stack technology have been serving the city of Baicheng, marking a milestone in the region’s shift to clean hydrogen energy. These buses provide residents with quiet, efficient, and emission-free travel across busy urban routes.
Engineered for the stop-and-go rhythm of city transit, the fleet achieves nearly 500 km per fill and has proven dependable even in harsh winter conditions down to -30°C. With every journey, the Baicheng buses showcase the power of innovation to keep cities moving, cleanly and reliably.

Model: 11 m Yutong Commuter Coach
In September 2024, 30 hydrogen fuel cell coaches co-developed by REFIRE and Yutong began operating across Shanghai, serving commuter and campus shuttle routes. These 11-meter, 49-seat vehicles integrate REFIRE’s PRISMA fuel cell system powered by Unilia’s advanced fuel cell stack technology, delivering over 400 km of range, rapid refueling, low noise, and dependable performance in diverse urban conditions. With zero emissions and strong adaptability for high-frequency passenger service, the coaches provide an efficient, scalable clean-energy solution for commuting, tourism, business events, and cultural activities throughout the city.
